The celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love, we were commissioned by the San Francisco Tourist Board to recreate the heart and soul of that iconic movement right here in London.
In one of our most ambitious builds yet, each floor of our Marylebone venue represented a different part of the city, from the City Lights Bookshop (complete with its own beret-wearing beatnik poet) to the labyrinthine streets of Chinatown, a suitably down-at-heel Mission dive bar and a fabulous Castro drag night.
Created especially for the event, the delicious food and drink cemented the city’s status as a melting pot of different cultures (fish tacos, anyone?), while a sensory overload of music, art and literature across the three floors hammered home San Fran’s reputation as a cultural mecca.
